ST Engineering Aerospace is located at Brookley Aeroplex in Mobile, Alabama, and Pensacola, FL, at the Pensacola International Airport. We are a renowned provider of aircraft maintenance and modification (AMM) services for commercial airlines and air freight operators. What YOU will do:  

Responsible for the day-to-day oversight of an assigned materials area; to include receipt, inventory control, issue of customer and/or VT MAE supplied material, material status up-keep and reporting, cycle count; maintaining the shelf-life program; material returns, and shipping of materials as required.  As a working member of your crew, responsible for leading and directing all personnel under your supervision.

 

In This Role YOU will: 

  1. Ensure that all assigned tasks authorized by supervisor are completed properly and accurately in a timely manner required by VT Mobile Aerospace Engineering.
  • Coordinate and oversee assigned projects.
  • Ensure employees understand assigned tasks and materials
  • Research problems and offer solutions to problems within their area.
  1. Ensure that the crew adheres to safe maintenance practices and keeps a clean work area.
  2. Continuously monitoring work progress and distribute work to obtain the highest productivity keeping your supervisor always apprised of the status. Assisting your supervisor on preparation of the shift status and change over reports.
  3. Maintain all personnel matters and paperwork within their crew.

 

  • Ensure all assigned personnel are at work and on time.
  • Ensure all employees are in full uniform.
  • Ensure all crew members go to and from lunch and breaks on time.
  • Ensure that all timecards and job cards are properly filled out, accounted for, hours approved and processed in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for maintaining an up-to-date crew roster with current telephone listing.
  • Evaluating the performance of personnel under your supervision, coordinating with the department manager to ensure all employees’ performance reviews are completed on time and fairly.
  • Monitors employees’ indirect hours (i.e. sick time, vacations, etc.) to avoid abuse.
  • Reporting to your supervisor any recommendations for disciplinary action or personnel problems that cannot be resolved satisfactorily within your crew.
  1. Ensure all documentation is completed correctly and neatly.
  2. Coordinates and ensures all material transactions are processed promptly and accurately.
  3. Assists in on-the-job training and nurturing of employees.
  4. Promotes teamwork and good communication within the company.
  5. Perform other tasks/work as assigned.  (Note: this may include temporary work assignments within other areas such as Customer Operations, Main Stores, or Shipping.)
  6. Working knowledge of VT MAE and Customer computer systems and processes. Ensure all required transactions are completed in both systems as required.
  7. Must comply with the Material Guidelines of the Customer Contract (If assigned to a customer lockup).
  8. Coordinates and ensures that the following processes are completed in both Customer and VTMAE computer systems.
  • Ordering of Stock (Pre-draw, NIS, Non-Routine and AOG Material)
  • Inventory Control (stocking, cycle count, shelf life, and aging inventory)
  • Receiving material following the quality guidelines of both companies.
  • Issuing Material to the Aircraft.
  • Returning of unused Material (Including Scrap/Damaged)
  • Perform and pass customer inventory audits
  • Shipping Customer Materials to one of their stations
  • Assists in the training of staff to learn and understand both systems
  1. Work with Status, Purchasing and the Customer AOG desk on the procurement of material
  2. Track and report all inbound, Aircraft required material.
  3. Act as liaison between Planning, Materials, Purchasing, Production and the Customer.

 

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

 

 

Proficient working knowledge of all materials departments, through understanding of all company policies and procedures, thorough knowledge of related materials, and internal paperwork including all personnel forms and documentation.

 

SUPERVISION:

 

Under direction. Normally perform duties according to your own judgement requesting supervisory assistance only when necessary. Reports to the Materials Lead and will be the acting lead in the absence of the Materials Lead

 

INTERPERSONAL ENVIORMENT:

 

A strong level of interpersonal skills is required to maintain an effective relationship with various departments, co-workers, supervisors, and customers.

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:

 

Requires easy mobility around various storage facilities and the dexterity to remove and replace parts in upper and lower bins. Requires mental skills and

quickness with the ability to cope with stress and intense effort or exertion usually caused by long working hours. Must have the capacity to gain

knowledge by hearing for one’s own safety due to the dangers involved. Working environment requires standing 90% of the workday on hard surfaces. Must

be able to lift 50 lbs. and report to work regularly.

 

 

What YOU Need:           

 

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 1 year of warehouse and/or inventory control related experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and knowledge of company policies required.
  • Fork-lift license or qualification is preferred.
