ST Engineering Aerospace is located at Brookley Aeroplex in Mobile, Alabama, and Pensacola, FL, at the Pensacola International Airport. What YOU will do:
The Receiving / Back Shop Inspector will be responsible to the Receiving / Back Shop Lead Inspector. He/she will check all materials received at the Repair Station and determine that they meet the specifications and conform to all applicable regulations.
In This Role YOU will:
- Visually inspect all incoming parts and materials for shipping damage or other discrepancies that may have occurred during shipment. Ensure that all parts and materials exhibiting shipping damage are thoroughly inspected for additional damage that affects acceptability of the part or material.
- Verify that part or material part numbers match the part number identified on the shipping documentation and certification.
- Verify that part serviceable tags and/or FAA Form 8130-3 accompanying parts are properly completed and valid.
- Verify that shelf line limited materials are properly identified and not past expiration at the time of receipt.
- Identify and document Suspected Unapproved Parts (SUP’s) as required to ensure that unapproved parts are not maintained in inventory.
- Verify that tags or certifications are correct and meet applicable federal regulations.
- Verify that all materials are properly packed and stored.
- Verify that all aircraft parts repaired or manufactured in-house conform to material, dimensional and functional specifications.
- Perform additional duties as required by the Receiving / Shop Lead Inspector.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS: Must be able to speak, read and write in the English language. Must be familiar with FAA Regulations.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Industrial work environment.
SUPERVISION: Under general direction. Normally performs duties after receiving general instructions as to methods, procedures, and desired results.
INTERPERSONAL RELATIONS: A high level of interpersonal skills is required to maintain an effective relationship with co-workers and supervision.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT: Requires easy mobility around various sections of aircraft. Requires mental skills and quickness with the ability to cope with stress sometimes caused by long working hours. Working environment requires standing 90% of the work day on hard surfaces. Must be able to lift 25 pounds and report to work regularly.
What YOU Need:
- High school diploma or GED required
- FAA A&P License required.
- Five (5) years minimum experience in commercial Aircraft maintenance.
- 12 Months minimum experience as an Aircraft QC Inspector
