ST Engineering Aerospace is located at Brookley Aeroplex in Mobile, Alabama, and Pensacola, FL, at the Pensacola International Airport. We are a renowned provider of aircraft maintenance and modification (AMM) services for commercial airlines and air freight operators. YOU will do:
As a working member of your crew, responsible for leading and directing all personnel under your supervision.
In This Role YOU will:
- Ensure that all assigned tasks authorized by supervisor are completed properly in a timely manner required by VT Mobile Aerospace Engineering.
- Coordinate and oversee assigned projects.
- Ensure employees understand the assigned task and materials with tools are maintained and stored in serviceable condition.
- Research problems and offer solutions to problems within their area.
- Ensure that the crew adheres to safe maintenance practices and keeps the work area clean.
- Continuously monitoring work progress and distribute work to obtain the highest productivity keeping his or her supervisor always apprised of the status. Assisting his or her supervisor on preparation of the shift status and change over reports.
- Maintains all personnel matters and paperwork within his crew.
- Ensure all assigned personnel are at work and on time.
- Ensure all employees are in full uniform.
- Ensure all crew members go to and from lunch and breaks on time.
- Ensure that all timecards and job cards are properly filled out, accounted for, hours approved and processed in a timely manner.
- Responsible for maintaining an up-to-date crew roster with current telephone listing.
- Evaluating the performance of personnel under his or her supervision coordinating with department manager to ensure all employees’ performance reviews are completed on time and fairly.
- Monitors employees’ indirect hours (i.e. sick time, vacations, etc.) to avoid abuse.
- Reporting to his or her supervisor any recommendations for disciplinary action or personnel problems that cannot be resolved satisfactorily within his crew.
- Ensure all documentation is completed correctly and neatly.
- Coordinates and ensures all material transactions are processed promptly and accurately.
- Assist in on-the-job training and nurturing of employees.
- Promote teamwork and good communication with the company.
- Perform other tasks/work as assigned. (Note: this may include temporary work assignments within other areas such as Customer Operations.)
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Proficient working knowledge of all materials departments, through understanding of all company policies and procedures, through knowledge of all aircraft manuals and related materials, knowledge of all maintenance and internal paperwork including all personnel forms and documentation.
SUPERVISION:
Under direction. Normally performs duties according to his or her own judgement requesting supervisory assistance only when necessary.
INTERPERSONAL ENVIORMENT:
A strong level of interpersonal skills is required to maintain an effective relationship with various departments, co-workers, and supervision.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:
Requires easy mobility around various storage facilities and the dexterity to remove and replace parts in upper and lower bins. Requires mental skills
And quickness with the ability to cope with stress and intense effort or exertion is usually caused by long working hours. Must have the capacity to gain
knowledge by hearing about one’s own safety due to the dangers involved. Working environment requires standing 90% of the workday on hard surfaces.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and report to work regularly.
What YOU Need:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 2 years’ warehouse experience and/or inventory control experience.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and knowledge of company policies required.
