What YOU will do:

The Senior Manager of Technical Operations is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of aircraft heavy maintenance events, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction. This role provides technical guidance to production leadership, coordinates with internal and external Engineering teams to develop and implement structural repair plans and oversees the planning and execution of Engineering Orders and modification flow plans. The Senior Manager collaborates closely with Program and Project Management to optimize workflows and production schedules, serves as the primary customer contact for all maintenance and modification activities, and drives continuous improvement initiatives across operations.


In This Role YOU will:
 

  • Oversee daily operations of the Aircraft heavy maintenance event.
  • Provide technical support to production leadership in all areas of operations.
  • Coordinate with Engineering (internal and external) to develop and implement non-routine structural repair plans.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of Engineering Orders and modification flow plans within maintenance visits.
  • Collaborate with Program and Project Management to optimize overall workflow and production schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards related to check and/or modification events.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all customers regarding all maintenance and modifications on every program.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all operations.

 

What YOU Need: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in aviation maintenance.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing teams and complex operations.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft systems, repair techniques, and modification processes.
  • Ability to effectively interpret aircraft drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Must possess advanced troubleshooting skills with aircraft systems and ability to interpret fault isolation manuals.
  • Experience working with Engineering Orders and coordinating with engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant (A&P), or Repairman Certification is a plus.
  • Strategic planning and operational oversight
