ST Engineering Aerospace is located at Brookley Aeroplex in Mobile, Alabama, and Pensacola, FL, at the Pensacola International Airport. What YOU will do:  

 

The Tooling Coordinator shall be responsible to the Director Materials. He/she shall assist in planning and coordinating the activities of the department to minimize delays and maximize production and efficiency.

 

 In This Role YOU will: 

a. Train and assist his/her subordinates in proper procedures, methods and practices to be followed in each respective duty.

b. Provide guidance / oversight in the maintenance of all aircraft tooling.

c. Ascertain that all necessary records are properly executed and retained accordingly.

d. Initiate requisitions for tooling, parts and materials as required.

e. Coordinate the identification, maintenance and control of tooling and equipment used by the Repair Station.

f. Ensure that an electronic data base is maintained for inventory, issue and receive tooling and equipment maintained within the Repair Station.

 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

The Tooling Coordinator normally performs the duty assignment at his or her discretion.  However, limits of authority are set by supervision and company policies. 

 

INTERPERSONAL ENVIORMENT:

 

A high level of interpersonal skills is required to maintain an effective relationship with various departments, co-workers and management

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:

 

Essential responsibilities are performed in a climate-controlled office but not limited to the office since the tooling and equipment is located throughout the facility.  The coordinator must be able to cope with stress and the demands made by production on a daily basis.   Also, you must be able to meet short deadlines, while maintaining numerous projects simultaneously, as well as resolve employee confrontations and endure long work hours.

 

What YOU Need:           

  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • 2 years of college/trade school is preferred.
  • 3 years of experience required working in an MRO environment.
  • Previous tool room experience is required.
  • Current working knowledge of SAP system is preferred.
