What YOU will do: 

You will report directly to the Director of Manufacturing and Product Support or designee and in assigned work area, perform testing of production hardware using released test procedures and complete the necessary paperwork for acceptance or rejection along with demonstrating the capabilities to troubleshoot electronic or mechanical failures using schematics and other technical media.

 

Essential Functions (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)

 

  • Sufficient working knowledge of electronic and mechanical principles, analog and digital circuits

to find and correct manufacturing errors or failed components in electromechanical

equipment.

  • Performs routine testing on electronic assemblies using standard test equipment (e.g., Multimeters, oscilloscopes, function generators etc.)
  • Follow written test procedures and work instructions accurately.
  • Identify and record test results and report to appropriate team members.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of test results and equipment usage.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of electronic assemblies and sub-assemblies.
  • Assist in the calibration and maintenance of test equipment.
  • Perform environmental testing as required.
  • Assist the production testers when problems are encountered.
  • Perform testing and troubleshooting on field returns that may not be part of the

regular production process.

  • Adhere to the ESD and Safety protocols in the work environment.
  • Performing other duties as directed

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • Position environment is neutral with low to moderate noise exposure, is a seated position requiring the extended use of a computer and computer equipment.  The work environment differs from traditional manufacturing in that it is a clean space that is climate controlled.
  • The individual must also be willing to perform stand-by/after hours, and weekend work as required.
  • Some travel may be required.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

Must be able to walk, sit, and stand throughout the workday without assistance.

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds unassisted; heavier items may require team

lifting or mechanical assistance.

 

•             Frequent physical activities include reaching with arms and hands, climbing or

balancing, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling as required by specific tasks.

 

  • Must possess adequate visual acuity to accurately interpret and follow product-

specific diagrams and schematics, including color-coded wiring and assembly instructions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Education & Experience:

  • Pursuing associates degree in electronics or technical or Military electronic school- required to complete.

 

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions precisely.
  • Team player with great attitude, communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate Ownership and strong worth ethic.
  • Reliable to attend work daily on time, dependable to get the job done correctly and efficiently.
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel etc.).

 

Preferred Education & Experience:

  •  2 years of experience in electronics troubleshooting/ testing or assembly.
