A pioneer in the production and assembly of complex aerostructures including aircraft and rocket components, engine nacelle systems, thrust reversers and advanced composite products, we apply the latest digital technologies and automation in composite design and manufacturing that are second to none. At ST Engineering MRAS, we are also rapidly augmenting our maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) capabilities leveraging the company’s expanded aircraft nacelle portfolio as well as it’s materials and processing expertise.
What YOU will do
- Participate, assist, and lead kaizen events to drive system and process improvement
- Support the implementation of process improvement projects
- Exhibit and develop a high level of critical thinking skills
- Proficiently apply and train practical, team-based problem-solving methodology
- Utilize Leader Standard Work as a basis for structured and organized daily routines
- Facilitate the adoption of continuous improvement as a way of life; foster positive culture change
- Demonstrate the ability to apply and train others in the application of lean tools and methodologies
- Support cooperation, teamwork, and positive working relationships across all functional areas
- Autonomously identify and eliminate waste in manufacturing processes
- Display and be able to train lean leadership behaviors
- Continuously develop skills and abilities in line with organizational goals
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements.
- Assist the Production Coordinators, Supervisors, Sr. Engineers, Production Engineers and Superintendents as necessary.
- Must be familiar with working in a high volume and inventory-intensive environment.

- Ability to work with vendors and employees at all levels of the organization promptly and professionally

- Knowledge and ability to train others in waste identification
- Observe operations to create accurate time standards for job phases
- Investigate and implement ways to improve product throughput, recovery, and quality.
- Analyze production processes to identify and quantify waste (materials, time, defects, motion)
- Identify and document operational bottlenecks and inefficiencies
- Conduct root cause analysis to address recurring inefficiencies
- Document and communication of findings to project stakeholders
- Coordinate with HR to ensure observations comply with UAW rules
- Actively investigate and implement ways to reduce costs in the processes observed.
- Review and prepare controls standards.
- Improve controls throughout the site to bring added value to the operations.
- Maintain and develop process flowsheets for site operations
- Develop/generate reports summarizing plant performance.
- Analyze workflows, identify constrictions, and develop solutions to improve production quality, and maximize efficiency while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
What YOU must bring to Succeed
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 3-5 years’ experience in a lean manufacturing environment.
- Results oriented and driven, with a track record for delivering to plan.
- Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to gather facts and analyze problems in depth
- Ability to work across all shifts

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Project management skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills. Able to manage multiple and competing priorities and prioritize tasks appropriately.
- Possess a high attention to detail to manage accounts accurately and efficiently
- Able to interpret, summarize and communicate complex information.
- CAD experience in AutoCad and/or Catia is preferred but not required.

Estimate salary range for this role: $26.60 to $39 per hour. Overtime eligible role.ST Engineering considers several factors with extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, education/training/certification, job level, and work location. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
