At ST Engineering MRAS, we are also rapidly augmenting our maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) capabilities leveraging the company’s expanded aircraft nacelle portfolio as well as it’s materials and processing expertise.
What YOU will do:
As the Lead Supplier Quality Engineer, you will:
- Independently manages the full lifecycle from stock sweep through RCCA verification and closure for 15-20 suppliers with at least 5 or more critical/problem suppliers simultaneously
- Has a full understanding of AS9100 and AS9102 requirements in conjunction with all MRAS specifications
- Has a working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, MSAs, DFMEAs, and PFMEAs
- Operate independently to support Sourcing and supplier by providing concrete, correct direction
- Able to self-prioritize and juggle multiple priorities simultaneously that align with business objectives
- Works on complex source-designed components and/or works on complex assemblies
- Coordinates and presents Notice of Escape packages to a wide audience with professionalism. Drives supplier engagement to resolve found issues.
- Can be a lead in technical discussions with cross-functional teams
- Forecasts risk and communicate to appropriate levels to ensure business risk is mitigated
- Drives Root Cause/Corrective Action from start to finish independently using established RCCA tools (DMAIC, 8D, 5 Why, 4 Blocker, Apollo, etc)
- Comprehensively reviews Supplier FAIs with no guidance. Not only reviews FAIs, but can provide clear directions to the supplier to resolve conflicts that may otherwise be nonconformances
- Actively inserts her/himself into situations to learn and grow
- Can take ambiguous directions and create a comprehensive execution plan
- Can provide technical and subject matter guidance to the team
- Makes sound business decisions and is unafraid to challenge “status quo” – is a pioneer in setting precedence
What YOU must bring to Succeed:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing or Quality Engineering) and minimum of 3 years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering.
This position involves access to export-controlled technology which requires U.S. Person status or government authorization. A ‘U.S. Person,’ as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62, includes U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, individuals lawfully admitted for permanent residence (green card holders), and individuals granted asylum or refugee status in the United States. To be considered for this position, you must either be a U.S. Person or fall within a legally recognized export control exception or authorization. If hired, you will be required to provide valid proof of such status.

Estimate salary range for this role: $89,200 to $127,300 per year. ST Engineering considers several factors with extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, education/training/certification, job level, and work location. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
