Middle River Aerostructure Systems is a world-leading manufacturer of thrust reversers (the braking system on a jet engine), engine nacelle components and specialized aerostructures. Job Summary:

This role involves supporting systems engineering activities for development programs. It requires working with engineering team leaders, subject-matter experts, and customers to derive, document and manage the deliverable requirements and interface documents.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Derive and allocate aircraft and/or propulsion requirements and specifications from customers to supplier requirements at the system, sub-system, component, and vendor levels.
  • Develop requirements in collaboration with customer, subject-matter experts and project managers.
  • Establish traceability to customer requirements and specifications.
  • Validate all levels of supplier requirements against the customer requirements.
  • Work with technical team leads and customers to define internal and external interfaces of the system and develop Interface Control Documents.
  • Generate and refine the requirements and interface documents for customer acceptance.
  • Identify impacts from customer requirement changes.
  • Manage interface and requirements documents.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience.

 

Desired Characteristics:

  • Strong analytical and technical report writing skills.
  • Ability to pay attention to details and thoroughness with documentation.
  • Ability to work with Integrated Product Teams and interact with customer.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in requirements development/management processes or proficiency in tools like Jama or DOORS.
  • Experience in Mechanical, Aerospace or Systems Engineering is preferred.
