We are seeking skilled Millwright to join our talented work force. This role will require a multitude of skills to be used on a daily basis. This crucial position in our Facilities and maintenance group is depended on to adjust quickly to changing assignments and complete a wide range of task. Building, rigging, painting, welding, assisting with office moves, floor installation, floor repairs, equipment demo, unloading equipment and plant wide supplies, move, erect,set up, and assistance with preparing the campus for tours, large meetings, audits, and weather events are some of the task that we count on this team to complete. Please note Seniority may determine shift assignments, this role has a high probability of requiring offshift schedule.
What YOU will do:
• Utilizes mechanical knowledge to assist with rigging, and erecting building structures and manufacturing equipment.
• Determines proper, safe methods of dismantling machine to gain access to suspected failed components or faulty parts, and dismantles and removes parts by using a variety of mechanic's hand tools and safe rigging techniques.
• Assist with overhead crane inspections and repairs. Needs to be capable of working at heights.
• Obtains replacement parts from facilities engineering, OEM, and or supervisors. If a particular part is lacking clear engineering definition, the Millwright shall be capable of creating dimensioned sketches that allow reverse engineering and fabrication of the components.
• Ability to utilize basic construction measurement tools to estimate material requirements and ensure rigging/ furniture/equipment moves can be done with proper clearance.
Checks work by use of precision measuring instruments including but not limited to leveling tools, overhead scales and or digital measuring devices.
• Maintains the facility by providing and assisting with continuous improvement events, Cleaning, painting, building, organizing, erecting storage cages, installation of doors, windows, walls, floors all while focusing on safe work habits and 5S.
• Assist other trades with removal of machine guarding and obstructions to allow preventive and reactive maintenance task to be completed.
• Studies blueprints, sketches, specifications and bill of materiel in order to plan the sequence of operations when erecting and fabricating components of used for storage of plating solutions, and sodium nitrate tanks, cranes, hoists, metal stairways, steel balconies, heavy gauge steel racks, partitions, steel work platforms, steel beams used in floor support etc. Ability to Install wall fittings, brackets, etc., which can be used for the attachment of heavy equipment or machinery.
• Assist with other maintenance duties as assigned.
What YOU must bring to Succeed:
- HS Diploma/GED equivalent
- Minimum of 4 years of related work experience. With the following skill set rigging, carpentry, blue print reading, fabricating, sheet rock, drop ceilings, and industrial painting.
Job Requirements
• Requires the ability to understand and use mechanical concepts and principles, understand and utilize construction and rigging mathematics, and the understanding and use of a wide variety hand tools.
• Must use appropriate PPE. Demonstrate a commitment to following safe procedures and adhere to safe repair practices.
• Experience with diagnostics and repair of building structures. Ability to interpret technical manuals, mechanical drawings, and assembly instructions.
• Willingness and ability to instruct and assist less experienced mechanics.
• A physically demanding role with exposure to loud noises, potential hazards, and often dirty environments, requiring the use of protective gear, frequent standing, lifting heavy parts, and working in tight spaces. Frequent physical effort is required to operate equipment, load and unloading trucks and trailers, position trailers, etc
• Safely Operate fork lifts, JLG lifts. Will be required to maintain certifications.
Desired Characteristics:
- Ability to run table saws, tile cutters, hammer drills, grinders, etc., to reshape, regrind, fit, and construct. Ability to work to close tolerances depending on job requirements.
- Welding experience.
- Experience with repair of cranes and or roll up doors.
- Experience with Vacuum and High pressure Air systems.
- Mechanical ability to diagnose issues and repair roll-up doors.

Salary for this role: $38.00 per hour + shift differential. ST Engineering considers several factors with extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, education/training/certification, job level, and work location.
