The Quality Technician/Designated Supplier Quality Representative (DSQR) will have responsibility of all Quality functions for 2nd shift Assembly and as DSQR, is responsible for the inspection and acceptance of hardware / end item deliverables on behalf of the customer. The individual will be responsible for ensuring all engineering and regulatory requirements are met to ensure customer satisfaction. The Quality Technician/ DSQR will be a part of a cross-functional technical and operations team to focus on achieving business objectives.

What YOU will do

  • Manages all Quality functions for assembly program supporting 2nd shift operation.
  • Review and accept hardware on behalf of customers prior to delivery as DQSR, including generation of conformance certificates and all acceptance documentation.
  • Obtain and maintain FAA certification to provide Aircraft On Ground (AOG) support.
  • Acts as the Point of Contact for 2nd shift inspectors.
  • Assists with development of Root Cause/Corrective Action with some guidance using established RCCA tools (PFMEA, DMAIC, Apollo, 5 WHYs, 8D, etc.).
  • Provide Quality support and assistance with Inspection personnel while performing First Article inspections.
  • Processes all Nonconformance Items and Workflows in a timely manner.
  • Solicits weekly prioritization of tasks and deliverables that align with business objectives.

 

What YOU must bring to Succeed 

High school diploma / GED with at least 2 years experience in Manufacturing or Quality. Knowledge of Aerospace / DOD / assembly line experience is highly preferred.

  • Acquire and maintain multiple customer representative certifications for acceptance of hardware.
  • Knowledge and experience for problem solving techniques such 5 why's, Fishbone, Process mapping, etc. to identify root cause and define CAPA.
  • Must be able to work 1st shift for three months before transitioning to 2nd shift.
  • This position involves access to export-controlled technology which requires U.S. Person status or government authorization. A ‘U.S. Person,’ as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62, includes U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, individuals lawfully admitted for permanent residence (green card holders), and individuals granted asylum or refugee status in the United States. To be considered for this position, you must either be a U.S. Person or fall within a legally recognized export control exception or authorization. If hired, you will be required to provide valid proof of such status.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Detail oriented and strong computer skills.
  • Preferred minimum of 1 year of experience in Production Quality.
  • Working knowledge of PPAP and APQP, AS9145, ISO9000 / AS9100

Estimate salary range for this role $52,300 to $75,900 per year. ST Engineering considers several factors with extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, education/training/certification, job level, and work location. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
