Who YOU are and what YOU can become:
ST Engineering - MRAS is interested in hiring a Shipping Supervisor to join our logistics team. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the daily shipping operations, ensuring that all shipments are packaged, processed, labeled accurately and on time. This role requires a leader who can manage a team, coordinate with various departments and maintain high standards of efficiency and accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and handle any issues that arise in a fast-paced environment. The Shipping Supervisor will have a proven track record in a manufacturing shipping and logistics environment with an understanding of shipping process and best practices.
What YOU will do:
• Oversee daily shipping floor operations to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
• Supervise the union personnel of the packaging areas, providing guidance and support.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and communication.
• Ensure compliance will all relevant shipping regulations and company policies.
• Prioritize orders to meet customer demand as well as company goals.
• Aggressively problem solve issues affecting Customer Orders.
• Handle customer inquiries and or complaints related to shipping.
• Handle formal and informal issues affecting compliance to Safety, Quality and Delivery standards.
• Attend required interdepartmental, departmental, and executive level meetings as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
• Implement and maintain shipping best practices and procedures.
• Ensure all shipping equipment is properly maintained and in good working order.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock to support daily shipping needs.
• Perform administrative duties to support the business, including timecards, and missing time corrections, etc.
• Practice sound human relations and communications skills to mentor and motivate the team in Safety, Quality, and Productivity improvements
What YOU must bring to Succeed:
• High School Diploma/GED (associate’s degree or higher preferred) with 10+ years in Warehousing or Manufacturing shipping international and/or domestic is required. Candidate must have 3 + years of Supervisor or progressive Leadership experience. (Union Management preferred).
• Must be able to perform basic physical tasks such as lifting 35 lbs.
• Must be able to multi-task in a high stress, ever changing environment
Desired Characteristics:
• Working Knowledge of SAP preferred
• Strong Knowledge of shipping processes and best practices
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Understanding of Mil-Spec packaging preferred
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
• Capability to sit, stand, climb stairs, and walk continuously throughout the day
• Prioritize and focus on workload and minimize interruptions
• Detail oriented
• Ability to work under pressure and meet all required deadlines
• Safety and Quality driven

Estimate salary range for this role: $88,200 to $127,300 per year. ST Engineering considers several factors with extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, education/training/certification, job level, and work location. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
