Who YOU are and what YOU can become
ST Engineering MRAS is looking for a Sourcing Project Engineer to manage a series of dedicated activities within the Procurement organization. In this role, you will manage specialized aspects of the procurement process and strategy which contain elements of both a technical and business nature. This position will report to a Senior Commodity Manager within the MRAS Procurement department.
What YOU will do
- Support the Procurement organization for program(s) currently in design/development by maintaining material program plans, defining long lead material acquisition strategies, and ensuring on-time receipt of vendor contract data deliverables and/or Goods.
- Manage the entire life cycle of the supplier relationship as needed, which may include the following: bid list development, RFQ, bid analysis, down-select, negotiations, deal review preparation and presentation, contract award, bid process documentation, PO release, and fulfillment.
- Support preparation of bid lists for new RFQs through review of technical data packages and classification of technical work scope in relation to supply base capabilities.
- Provide support for new business capture and proposal activities.
- Evaluate capabilities of prospective new sources of supply to MRAS.
- Function as a configuration control board (CCB) procurement representative for production program(s).
- Provide procurement support for engineering redesign projects, ensuring timely completion of vendor work scope while maintaining business objectives of the project.
- Provide procurement support for non-conformance (NC) tag resolution, supplier corrective action requests (SCAR), and notice of escapes (NOE).
- Provide procurement support for vendor substantiated engineering (VSE) requirements definition, facilitation of process plan approvals, and approvals of processes.
- Communicate and coordinate activities as required with cross-functional groups including Planning, Engineering, Quality, Programs, Finance, Legal & Manufacturing.
- Assist in the continuous development of the Procurement function towards best practices.
What YOU must bring to Succeed
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business degree is preferred).
Desired Characteristics
- Knowledge in sourcing metallics, composites, and actuation system products for Aerospace applications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Critical self-thinker and strong problem-solving skills & ability to operate independently.
- Willingness to travel.
- Strong Excel skills and other Microsoft Office tools.
- Familiar with ERP systems (SAP desired).
- Effective leadership skills.
- Aerospace industry experience.

Estimate salary range for this role: $63,500 to $93,000 per year. ST Engineering considers several factors with extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, education/training/certification, job level, and work location. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
