We are seeking a dynamic self-motivated individual who is passionate about aviation/sales and interested in expanding their skills alongside a great team. As a Spare Parts Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, owning and managing strategies to improve parts sales by engaging internally and with clients.
The ideal candidate will maintain a strong understanding of the market to develop and build rapport with clients, identify new business opportunities, provide information, initial quotes or negotiate as needed to grow the business.
The position involves a mix of office and field work, with periodic travel to meet with clients, partners, suppliers and attend industry events. The candidate should have a strong understanding of aerospace, excellent interpersonal skills, and a knack for sales. This role requires the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear manner and provide after-sales support.

At ST Engineering MRAS, we are also rapidly augmenting our maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) capabilities leveraging the company’s expanded aircraft nacelle portfolio as well as it’s materials and processing expertise.
What YOU will do:
EXTERNAL
• Own the relationship with key customers to ensure satisfaction and find new ways to provide or expand Sales/Services.
• Develop your aviation network and leverage relationships to find new customers for MRAS Spare Parts sales.
• Works with Customer MROs and Maintenance departments, to ensure parts are available. Responding to inquiries, following up with leads, and maintaining accurate records
• Analyze sales channels to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for sales growth.
• Maintain records of deals, win/loss ratios, client information in our company’s database.
INTERNAL
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless communication/support for customer parts sales inquiries. Help drive process alignment, enhance efficiency & delivery performance. Provide input in the areas of inventory planning, supply, delivery and emerging trends.
• Collaborate with our engineering, repair shops, buyers, suppliers and field staff to analyze trends, identify new ways to increase sales and/or recover sales lost to alternative manufacturers of our parts (PMA process)
• Present insights, opportunities and recommendations to business leadership, translating complex data into clear narratives with P&L impacts.
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses to explore new sales opportunities and customer behaviors for data-driven recommendations to increase revenue.
• Maintain reports/dashboards, communicating progress against targets and actionable insights to leadership.
• Collaborate as needed to develop and update sales forecasts. Monitor markets to identify risks or opportunities
What YOU must bring to Succeed:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college and/or equivalent combo of education and experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Sales Engineering and/or Customer Product Support Management in a relatable manufacturing or OEM part sales industry is required. Recent experience in the aviation industry is strongly preferred
• Support travel requirements up to 25% (domestic and international).
Desired Characteristics:
• Ability to read Maintenance Manuals & Technical data such as Service Bulletins, blueprints etc.
• Good computer skills (i.e., email, Excel, LinkedIn, Word, etc.), knowledgeable in P&L approach to sales.
• Excellent written/spoken communication skills with expertise in Sales data analysis and reporting.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Able to respond to sales inquiries & maintain business relationships
• Proven expertise in industrial sales, demonstrating a track record of success.
• Manage tasks with a high level of autonomy and tackle complex issues effectively.

Estimate salary range for this role: $122,000 to $167,000 per year. ST Engineering considers several factors with extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, education/training/certification, job level, and work location. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
