SUMMARY:

The candidate will be responsible to the QC Manager/Chief Inspector for conducting thorough audits of completed aircraft maintenance records to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with the aircraft operator's approved maintenance program. This includes all functions relating to identifying and resolving documentation errors on all aircraft documents.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  1. Conduct detailed audits of aircraft maintenance records to verify that all maintenance actions are documented correctly and comply with the relevant regulations and operator’s maintenance program.
  2. Ensure that all paperwork, including work orders, task cards, and inspection checklists, is completed and accurate before submitting the package for final review.
  3. Collaborate with maintenance personnel to clarify any discrepancies or anomalies found during the audit process.
  4. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and the operator’s maintenance program requirements.
  5. Provide feedback and recommendations for process improvements to enhance the quality control procedures.
  6. Prepare and present audit reports to the Quality Control Manager and other stakeholders, highlighting any issues and suggesting corrective actions.
  7. Assist in the development and implementation of training programs related to record-keeping and regulatory compliance for maintenance staff.
  8. Maintain confidentiality and integrity of all maintenance records and audits.

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

 

  1. Ability to read, interpret, and ensure compliance with complex maintenance documentation and regulations.
  2. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify errors or inconsistencies in maintenance records.
  3. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple audits simultaneously.
  4. Proficient in the use of industry-standard software and databases for maintenance record-keeping.
  5. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to liaise with different departments and levels of management.

 

 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

SUPERVISION:                    The incumbent normally performs the duty        assignment at his or her discretion and is limited only by policies set by            administrative or legislative authority.  Total end results determine the     effectiveness of job performance.

INTERPERSONAL RELATIONS:  A strong level of interpersonal skills is required to maintain an effective relationship among employees, various     departments, management, and the public.

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:         Must be able to cope with stress and mental exhaustion due to the pressures of accomplishing set goals, meeting short deadlines, maintaining numerous projects simultaneously, employee confrontations and long work hours.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

 

EDUCATION:                      

  1. Associate or bachelor’s degree in aviation management, quality control, aerospace engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  2. Additional certifications in quality assurance or aviation safety are advantageous.

 

EXPERIENCE:                    

 

A minimum of 3 years of experience in aviation maintenance, with a strong background in quality control and documentation audit.

 

CERTIFICATIONS:

 

  1. FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
  2. Training in quality control, audit techniques, or a recognized quality assurance program is recommended.
