       JOB SUMMARY:

       Entry level mechanic responsible for mechanical maintenance and repair on commercial

       aircraft types.

 

       ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Basic understanding of aircraft systems
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Assist in open / close activity
  • Assist in basic component removal / installations
  • Assist in lubrication
  • CIC / Lubrication under supervision
  • Gain a basic understanding of AMMs / IPC

 

       JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

 

   Working knowledge or ability to acquire skills in the following: 

  • Safety wiring
  • Engine servicing
  • Engine CSD servicing
  • Tire inflation
  • A/C wash rack/cleaning procedures
  • A/C lube procedures
  • Panel removal/install
  • Hydraulic servicing procedures
  • A/C marshalling
  • Torque wrench values/operation
  • Basic safety procedures
  • Engine cowling opening
  • APU servicing
  • Cargo door operation
  • General knowledge of all aircraft manuals and other required materials
  • Additional functions as outlined by OJT sheet

 

 

 

      WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

 

      SUPERVISION:  Under the general direction of a supervisor. Normally performs duties after receiving general instructions as to methods, procedures, and desired end results. There is some opportunity for discretion when making selections    among a few, easily identifiable choices. The assignment is usually reviewed upon completion.

       

      INTERPERSONAL RELATION:  A moderate level of interpersonal skills is required to maintain an effective relationship with co-workers and supervision.

 

      PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:  Requires easy mobility around various sections of aircraft and the dexterity to remove and replace parts in a timely manner. Requires mental skills and quickness with the ability to cope with stress and intense     effort or exertion usually caused by long working hours. Must have the capacity to gain knowledge by hearing for one’s own safety due to the dangers involved. The working environment requires standing 90% of the workday on hard         surfaces. Must be able to lift 50lbs. and report to work regularly.

 

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

           

            EDUCATION:           High school diploma or GED required.

 

                                            PREFFERED:           Six months aircraft maintenance experience.

                                              A&P license or specialized training.
