Summary: 

 

As you Project Manager, you'll lead a dynamic team of skilled technicians and specialists, overseeing the maintenance personnel, task or inspection management of assigned Mechanics while maintaining our state-of-the-art equipment. Your leadership and technical expertise will be instrumental in maintaining the effectiveness and reliability of our customers' Aircraft while remaining in compliance with all FAA policies and regulations. 

 

Essential Responsibilities:

 

  1. Complete aircraft projects on time, on budget, incident-free, and with a level of quality that is consistent with the Company’s expectations.
  2. As a business manager, lead the commercial aspects of the projects by ensuring that over-and-above labor hours expended on the project are reconciled with the customer prior to aircraft re-delivery.
  3. Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project.
  4. Determine the resources required to complete the project and develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities and ensures customer satisfaction.
  5. Execute the project per the project plan.  Monitor the progress of the project and plan as necessary to ensure the successful and timely completion of the project.
  6. Review the project schedule with senior management and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required.  Ensure that all project personnel receive an appropriate orientation to the organization and the project and establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project.
  7. In consultation with the appropriate trade managers, deploy maintenance staff with the appropriate skills for the project activities and manage project staff and per the established policies and practices of the Company.
  8. Direct work from all departments ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
  9. Ensure everyone assigned to perform maintenance under the project is qualified to work on the assigned customer program and can perform the job properly.  This involves assessing if the individual’s job function against the employee's skills and knowledge.

 

Job Qualifications:

 

Experience:

  • Five (5) years commercial maintenance.
  • Two (2) years lead or supervisory experience.

 

Education:

 

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Two (2) years college/trade school preferred.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certification required
