What YOU will do: 

 

The CNC Machinist will report to the Back Shop Department and play a vital role in repairing, modifying, and fabricating aircraft parts using specialized tooling and ground support equipment. You’ll follow detailed instructions and manuals to complete routine and non-routine assignments in a timely manner. 

 

 

  • In This Role, You Will:Repair, modify, and fabricate aircraft parts using special tooling and ground support equipment. 

  • Follow oral and written instructions, including supervisor directives and manuals. 

  • Maintain and store various tools in serviceable condition. 

  • Adhere to safe maintenance practices and keep a clean work area. 

  • Maintain personal records of work performed on OJT forms for the Training Department. 

  • Successfully complete any courses deemed necessary by the Training Department. 

  • Perform any work assigned by your supervisor. 

 

 

What YOU need: 

 

  • Knowledge of machining and fabricating metal parts using manual mills and lathes. 

  • Understanding of metal properties, safety procedures, and operation of mills, lathes, drill press, and saws. 

  • Basic knowledge of aircraft manuals, ATA codes, and applicable FAA regulations. 

  • Familiarity with company policies, paperwork procedures, and work sign-off processes. 

  • Ability to work under immediate direction and follow detailed instructions. 

  • Moderate interpersonal skills to maintain effective relationships with co-workers and supervisors. 

  • Physical ability to stand for 90% of the workday, lift up to 50 lbs., and work in varying environments. 

  • High school diploma or GED preferred. 

  • A&P License desired or specialized training preferred. 

  • One year minimum experience machining.
