What YOU must bring to Succeed: 

As the Interiors Maintenance Crew Chief, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our Interiors Mechanics. You'll lead a dynamic team of skilled technicians and specialists, overseeing the maintenance task management of assigned Mechanics while maintaining our state-of-the-art equipment. Your leadership and technical expertise will be instrumental in maintaining the effectiveness and reliability of our customers' Aircraft while remaining in compliance with all FAA policies and regulations.

 

  • Evaluate departmental operations, recommending improvements in quality, productivity, and employee relations. Implement programs and/or procedures that strive for excellence in quality as maintained by the San Antonio Aerospace Quality Assurance program.  Resolve departmental problems by identifying the problem, researching alternatives, analyzing the costs and benefits, implementing the best alternative, and evaluating the results.  Accomplish any other assignments as directed by the Interiors Manager.
  • Assist their subordinates in proper procedures, methods, and practices for each duty.
  • Monitor the status of each aircraft in service daily.
  • Prepare daily priority worksheets in concurrence with the Interiors Manager.
  • Ascertain that the responsible mechanic properly executes all necessary work.
  • Be responsible for properly handling all parts while in the repair process and preserving all units or parts during the process through the shop and after work is completed.

 

What YOU must bring to succeed: 

  • High school diploma or GED required.  FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certification required.
  • Three (3) year minimum experience in transport aircraft category
  • Three (3) year supervisory experience
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
