ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:         

1. Ensures that all assigned tasks authorized by supervisor are completed properly in a timely manner required by VT SAA.
2. Coordinate and oversee assigned projects.
3. Ensures employee has an understanding of assigned task and materials with tools maintained and stored in serviceable condition.
4. Research problems and offer solutions to problems within their area.
5. Ensures that crew adheres to safe maintenance practices and keeps a clean work area.
6. Continuously monitoring work progress and distribute work to obtain the highest productivity keeping his or her supervisor appraised of the status at all times. Assisting his or her supervisor on preparation of the shift status and change over reports.
7. Maintains all personnel matters and paperwork within his crew.
8. Ensures all assigned personnel are at work and on the job on time.
9. Ensures all employees are in full uniform.
10. Ensures all crew members go to and from lunch and breaks on time.
11. Ensure that all time cards and job cards are properly filled out, accounted for, hours approved and processed in a timely manner.
12. Responsible for maintaining an up-to-date crew roster with current telephone listing.
13. Evaluating the performance of personnel under his or her supervision coordinating with department manager to ensure all employees’ performance reviews are completed on time and fairly.
14. Monitors employees’ indirect hours (i.e. sick time, vacations, etc.) in order to avoid abuse.
15. Reporting to his or her supervisor any recommendations for disciplinary action or personnel problems that cannot be resolved satisfactorily within his crew.
16. Ensures all documentation is completed correctly and neatly.
17. Coordinates and ensures that proper materials are ordered, received and issued to the aircraft.
18. Assist in on-the-job training and nurturing of employees.
