We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the ODA Lead Administrator in the maintenance and execution of our DRB Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) program. This is a critical position that plays a key role in ensuring compliance, efficiency, and continued success within our aviation certification processes.  You will be responsible for assisting the ODA Lead Administrator with the maintenance and execution of DRB Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) program.

What You will Do:

 

Essential Functions 

 

  • Maintain ODA Unit Member Listing and other required ODA program records
  • Review initial Unit Member (UM) applications and arrange ODA UM evaluation panels and submit applications and evaluation panel results to the FAA
  • Track/ensure training requirements are met by all ODA UMs and prepare training materials as required
  • Assist in the development of ODA Procedure Manual changes and submit changes to the FAA
  • Track/ensure closure of all ODA Procedure Manual comments from the FAA
  • Review FAA policy updates with ODA Lead Administrator to determine impact on current ODA procedures and training
  • Plan/assist in execution of ODA audits and the FAA
  • Track and ensure closure of corrective actions resulting from ODA/FAA audits or self-disclosures
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of Internal Audit Reports
  • Track and ensure closure of any FAA audit report comments
  • Assist with preparation/coordination of UM annual evaluations
  • Write, assign tracking numbers, and prepare FAA letter submittals
  • Track and ensure closure of all FAA letter follow-up requirements
  • Log, distribute, and file all FAA incoming and outgoing correspondence as appropriate
  • Track ODA/FAA requested metrics
  • Compile data required for ODA quarterly reports and submit final reports to the FAA
  • Assist in developing presentations for the FAA 

 

What YOU need to be successful:  

 

Basic Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Design Engineering is preferred. In lieu of a degree, 4 years plus of relevant experience will be considered.
  • Must possess demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must show demonstrated dedication to providing quality customer service internally and externally
  • Must be positive, detail oriented, organized, team oriented and a driven problem solver, multi-tasker, and self-starter with the ability to prioritize and work proactively in a fast paced, deadline driven environment

 

This position involves access to export-controlled technology which requires U.S. Person status or government authorization. A ‘U.S. Person,’ as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62, includes U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, individuals lawfully admitted for permanent residence (green card holders), and individuals granted asylum or refugee status in the United States. To be considered for this position, you must either be a U.S. Person or fall within a legally recognized export control exception or authorization. If hired, you will be required to provide valid proof of such status.

 

Desired Qualifications

 

  • 2+ years relevant experience working with an ODA or in an aviation company’s Airworthiness Department
  • Possess a working relationship with the FAA & FAA certification knowledge
