Are you a great planner? We’re seeking a Planning & Production Control Supervisor to lead and coordinate the activities of our Planning & Production Control Department. What YOU will do:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities and the ability to motivate and guide team members effectively. Exceptional communication skills are essential for fostering productive relationships with internal stakeholders, management, and customer representatives. Candidates should possess advanced proficiency in computer-based planning systems, customer maintenance platforms, and technical documentation, as well as solid knowledge of aircraft maintenance programs. Competence in software applications such as SAP, Microsoft Word, and Excel is required. Flexibility to work weekends and extended hours is expected to meet operational demands.
In This Role, You Will:
- Maintain work schedules and resource allocation for the Planning & Production Control Department to ensure maintenance activities are supported in a timely manner.
- Supervise and mentor Planners and Production Controllers to ensure that all related functions are being performed in accordance with the proper procedures, methods and best practices.
- Evaluate and perform subordinates’ performance appraisals. Identify any special training requirements and coordinate with the Manager of Planning to ensure the staff has adequate training.
- Coordinate and drive aircraft pre-induction/pre-dock meetings. This includes, but not limited to, assisting Planners with the preparation, working with customers for the relevant information and liaising with all internal stakeholders.
- Provide regular reports on maintenance performance metrics, including budget performance and turnaround times.
- Monitor and manage aircraft/project billing once work is completed to ensure timeliness of invoicing to customer.
- Assist the Planners to prepare work packages and task cards for scheduled or ad-hoc maintenance visits whenever required.
- Monitor employee clocking, gate times and make correction if required to ensure payroll is correct.
- Any other tasks delegated by the Manager of Planning.
What YOU need:
- Supervision: Operates with significant autonomy, guided by organizational policies; effectiveness measured by overall results.
- Interpersonal Relations: Requires strong interpersonal skills to maintain positive relationships with employees, management, and customer representatives.
- Physical Environment: Duties performed in both office and hangar settings; must manage stress and mental fatigue from deadlines, multiple projects, and extended work hours.
- Education: Associate degree or equivalent training/experience; FAA A&P License preferred but not required.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in commercial aviation maintenance planning and production control, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
