JOB SUMMARY:
The Security Guard Lead shall be responsible for securing the facilities.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure that all guard posts are manned and have the required equipment.
Review Daily Activity reports from all guard posts and note any information that needs to be recorded and submitted to the Director, Facilities for review.
Notify the alarm monitoring company when maintenance is being performed/notify insurance company of alarm being place on test.
Ensure that all testing of sprinkler risers are performed and documented.
Monitor fire panels in all areas to verify there are no faults.
Submit weekly guard schedules to Director, Facilities.
Ensure all Security Bulletins (TSA and Airport) are posted per City Ordinances and Airport Security requirements.
Notify Director, Facilities for any/all incidents involving Fire/EMS/Police on VT-SAA property.
Security Leads/ Supervisor will control vehicle and pedestrian access to STE San Antonio Aerospace, Inc. premises.
Security Leads/ Supervisor can/may conduct random searches (Supervisor/Manager must be present) of incoming and exiting vehicles when authorized by Director, Facilities.
Ensures all employees and customers have proper ID (VTSAA/SAT badges).
Protect and prevent unauthorized removal of company property by assisting guards checking bags/backpacks.
Review and approve Airport Badge applications.
Transport individuals for Training offsite, Random drug tests, medical issues, Customers, Pilots, etc when there is a requirement.
Make badges for Employees, Customers, Vendors and Visitors.
Monitor/review video surveillance equipment and report any violations.
Review video surveillance, conduct interviews, document all facts accurately and brief Senior Management during any investigations and ensure that all information remains in the strictest of confidence.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Some Security Background experience required but not expected. On the Job Training.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
SUPERVISION: Under moderate Supervision
INTERPERSONAL RELATIONS: Must be able to take direction; moderate levels of Interpersonal skills are required to maintain an effective relationship with Employees/co-workers.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:
Working environment requires climbing stairs, walking in a variety of buildings. You will be bending and standing on hard concrete surfaces for long periods of time. The majority of the work will be performed outside in various weather conditions throughout the year. Must be able to lift 30 lbs. Must have a valid state driver’s license. Must be able to pass a background check according to Company policy as well as Airport Security guidelines. Must be able to obtain Level III license from Texas Department of Public Safety.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: High School diploma or GED required.
EXPERIENCE:
- Some Knowledge of Security.
- Must be able to obtain a Security Level III license from the State of Texas Private Security Board
