What YOU will do:
The Crew Chief shall be responsible to his/her Senior Crew Chief/Manager for the overall operation of his/her crew. The crew chief’s duties shall be assigned/reassigned by his/her Senior Crew Chief/Manager.
In This Role YOU will:

Provide on-the-job training and technical assistance to personnel in his/her crew.

Evaluate the performance of personnel on his/her crew and make recommendations as necessary to his/her supervisor.

Perform only that work authorized by his/her supervisor and ensure that the work is performed to the standards of good workmanship required by Pensacola Aerospace.

Ensure that all tools and equipment used by his/her crew are kept in serviceable condition and stored in an orderly manner.

Recommend to his/her supervisor any requirements or improvements for his/her crew.

Exercise control over stock checked out of Stockroom by employees on his/her crew.

Complete his/her crew time cards and approve all hours worked.

Report to his/her supervisor, with recommendations, any personnel problems that cannot be resolved satisfactorily within the crew.

Recommend disciplinary action within his/her crew.

Assist his/her supervisor as requested in the evaluation of non-routine work cards for parts, manhours and span time, and indicate corrective action.

Monitor, continuously, work progress. Keep his/her supervisor apprised of the status at all times, particularly on jobs that are off schedule. Assist his/her supervisor in preparation of the shift status and change-over reports.

Perform any work that may be assigned by his/her supervisor.

Ensures that all assigned task authorized by Supervisor are completed properly in the timely manner required by ST Aerospace Mobile.

Assign task and ensure proper scanning takes place.

Determines cost effective controls and ensures employee has an understanding of the assigned task and materials with tools maintained and stored in serviceable condition.

Performs an inspection on completed task prior to calling Q.C. After Lead Inspection, a Q.C. representative called to look over the work.

When necessary, removes, troubleshoots, rectifies, assembles, fabricates and replaces various aircraft components and or systems with the use of special tooling, testing equipment and group support equipment.

Ensures all operations are performed within the guidelines set forth by all government agencies (i.e., FAA, EPA, OSHA, etc.), as well as the applicable aircraft manual, or operators procedures as applicable.

Ensures that crew adheres to safe maintenance practices and keeps a clean work area.

Continuously monitoring work progress.

Keeping his/her supervisor appraised of the status at all times, particularly on jobs which are off schedule.

Assisting his or her supervisor on preparation of the shift status and change over reports.

Assisting his or her supervisor as requested in the evaluation of non-routine work cards for parts, man hours and span time, and indicate corrective action.

Maintains all personnel matters and paperwork within his crew.

Ensures all assigned personnel are at work & on the job on time.
-
Ensures all employees are in full uniform.
-
Ensures all crew members go to and from lunch and breaks on time.
-
Ensures that all Overtime request and work hours are made properly for supervisor or manager to set up/approved and processed in a timely manner.

Responsible for maintaining an up-to-date crew roster with current telephone listing.

Evaluating the performance of personnel under his or her supervision coordinating with Supervisor/Manger to ensure all employees’ performance reviews are completed on time and fairly.

Monitors employees’ indirect hours (i.e., sick time, vacation, etc.) in order to avoid abuse.

Reporting to his or her supervisors any recommendations for disciplinary action or personnel problems that cannot be resolved satisfactorily within his crew.

Perform any work that may be assigned by his/her Supervisor or Manager.

Ensure that all tools and equipment used by his/her crew is kept in serviceable condition and stored in an orderly manner.
What YOU must bring to Succeed:

High school diploma or GED
-
FAA Airframe License and/or Repairman Certificate
-
4 years heavy commercial aircraft maintenance experience, heavy maintenance experience in the Interiors field required
