We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Manager, Payroll to lead and shape our U.S. payroll operations as we continue to build and strengthen our shared services model. In this role, the Senior Manager, Payroll will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of all payroll processing and related deliverables. The position will also focus on enhancing payroll systems and processes, managing key vendor relationships, and leading a team of payroll and tax professionals dedicated to delivering high-quality payroll support across the organization.

What YOU will do:
- Provide strategic leadership to guide teams through complex systems implementations and enterprise-wide organizational change.
- Build strong, trusted partnerships with Benefits, Accounting, Legal, and Human Resources to ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and positive employee experience.
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert on all Payroll related matters
- Take a forward-looking approach to identify emerging payroll risks, compliance challenges, and system needs, proactively recommend process enhancements to prevent disruptions.
- Manage Payroll function for multiple Business Units to ensure accurancy, timeliness, compliance and proper controls (approx 2500 Employees)
- Review and approve bi-weekly Payrolls and bi-weekly Expense Payrolls for multiple Business Units
- Oversee payroll tax compliance and filings, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations and accurate W-2 filings
- Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to enhance compliance, efficiency and accuracy
- Conduct regular audits to identify and rectify payroll discrepancies or errors
- Work with Benefits Team and third-party vendors to manage benefits from the payroll side (imports, troubleshooting, weekly meetings)
- Stay updated on relevant tax and labor laws to ensure compliance in all payroll activities
- Lead, train, and mentor payroll team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Continue to harmonize the payroll function across multiple Business Units for consistency and alignment
- Serve as Company Administrator for payroll system across all businesses using Paylocity and assist as needed with Administrator fuctions with businesses using ADP
- Engage and influence standards for practices and procedures of financial controls related to payroll activities.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of Payroll experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years of Management experience
- Excellent presentation, verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to manage complex projects in a large enterprise environment
Desired Qualifications
- 10+ years of end-to-end experience in Payroll
- Ability to motivate staff to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Extensive knowledge of Paylocity and ADP payroll systems
- Outstanding problem solving and decision-making skills
- Strong change management skills, technology proficiency, systems thinking and quality orientation
- Comfortable operating in a changing environment while demonstrating agility and flexibility
- Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, and Project) skills
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP or FCP) preferred
This position involves access to export-controlled technology and therefore requires U.S. Person status or government authorization. A ‘U.S. Person,’ as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62, includes U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, individuals lawfully admitted for permanent residence (green card holders), and individuals granted asylum or refugee status in the United States.
