We are a renowned provider of aircraft maintenance and modification (AMM) services for commercial airlines and air freight operators. What YOU will do:  

The Production Technical Specialist serves as the primary technical resource supporting aircraft production, maintenance, repair, and modification activities. This position evaluates technical issues, research approved repair data, develops engineering requests, and provides repair guidance to ensure aircraft repairs and modifications are performed in compliance with approved engineering data, regulatory requirements, and company standards. The role works closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams to minimize downtime, support operational readiness, and maintain aircraft airworthiness.

 

In This Role YOU will: 

 

Technical Support:

  • Provide technical guidance and support to production and maintenance personnel.
  • Resolve technical issues affecting production schedules and aircraft availability
  • Assist in identifying repair solutions using approved technical data.
  • Support aircraft return-to-service activities while maintaining compliance requirements.

Technical Data Research:

  • Research Structural Repair Manuals (SRMs), engineering drawings, specifications, maintenance manuals, and other approved data.
  • Interpret technical documentation to determine acceptable repair methods and maintenance actions.
  • Ensure repair recommendations align with regulatory and customer requirements.

Engineering Request Coordination:

  • Prepare, submit, and track engineering requests, repair authorizations, and technical inquiries.
  • Coordinate with engineering organizations to obtain approved repair dispositions.
  • Monitor requests through completion to support production schedules.

Repair Evaluation and Technical Disposition:

  • Assess aircraft damage, discrepancies, and repair requirements.
  • Determine repair feasibility using approved technical data.
  • Support implementation of repair solutions to ensure compliance and airworthiness.

Cross-Functional Coordination:

  • Coordinate technical activities with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, Planning, and Operations teams.
  • Participate in production meetings, status reviews, and problem-solving activities.
  • Facilitate communication between technical stakeholders to maintain schedule commitments.

Documentation and Records Management

  • Maintain engineering requests, repair records, technical documentation, and compliance records.\
  • Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and audit ready.
  • Support regulatory, quality, and customer audits as required.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Participate in process improvement initiatives.
  • Support audits and compliance inspections.
  • Provide technical mentoring and guidance to maintenance personnel.
  • Serve as backup for other technical support functions as assigned

 

WORKING ENVIORNMENT:

  • Combination of office, hangar, and production floor environments.
  • Frequent interaction with maintenance, production, quality, and engineering personnel.
  • Occasional overtime, shift support, weekend work, and call-ins may be required to support operational requirements and aircraft delivery schedules.
  • May occasionally operate company vehicles on airport or hangar facilities

 

INTERPERSONAL ENVIORMENT:

A strong level of interpersonal skills is required to maintain an effective relationship among employees, various departments, management, and customer representatives.

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:

  •  Ability to work in office and aircraft maintenance environments.
  • Periodic movement throughout hangars and production areas.
  • Ability to utilize computers, technical publications, documentation systems, and inspection tools as required.

 

  

What YOU Need:     

 

EDUCATION:                  

  • Associate degree in Aviation Maintenance, Aeronautics, Aerospace Technology, Mechanical Technology, or a related technical discipline preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant aviation maintenance experience may be considered.

 

EXPERIENCE:                        

  • Minimum three years of aircraft maintenance, repair, manufacturing, or technical support experience.
  • Experience interpreting aircraft maintenance documentation, technical manuals, engineering drawings, and repair data.

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:                                               

  • Strong technical research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex technical data and repair documentation.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance documentation systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:                                         

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
  • Military aircraft maintenance training or equivalent aviation experience.
  • Heavy structural repair experience.
  • Aerospace manufacturing or MRO experience.
  • Experience working with OEM repair manuals and technical
  • Associate degree in Aviation Maintenance, Aeronautics, Aerospace Technology, Mechanical Technology, or a related technical discipline preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant aviation maintenance experience may be considered
